Nutritional Therapy
Nutritional Therapy is the use of natural medicine, dietary adaptations and supplementation to manage and support recovery from chronic conditions.
Nutritional Therapy
Nutritional therapy is a holistic approach to health that harnesses the power of nutrition to restore the body to its natural balance. To function optimally, the body needs the right mix of nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fats, and protein, obtained from the food we eat.
Food really is that powerful.
But nutritional therapy isn’t just about food. It also explores how we move, sleep, and cope with stress, as well as our genetic predisposition and our environment. All of these elements affect the body’s ability to function, and if we don’t support every pillar of health, the impact can manifest both physically and emotionally as the body's systems become imbalanced.
Underlying imbalances drive chronic conditions that may impact our digestive, metabolic, mental, and hormonal health or present as skin issues and autoimmune diseases.
How do you know if nutritional therapy is right for you?
Perhaps you…
• Are managing a chronic condition
• Get every bug going around
• Feel exhausted even though you’re sleeping soundly
• Have sleep issues
• Feel anxious, overwhelmed or burnt out
• Have brain fog and struggle to concentrate
• Need caffeine or sweet treats to get you through the day
• Have aches and pains that you can’t explain
• Experience digestive issues
• Struggle with your hormones
• Have eczema, rosacea or psoriasis
• Are confused about the mixed diet and nutrition advice you are bombarded with.
Being healthy doesn’t just mean the absence of disease; symptoms are your body's way of letting you know that there are systems out of balance. The body is really clever and has an innate ability to heal itself, but sometimes it just needs a little help to get there and if we ignore the niggles the body can end up shouting louder.
Whether you have a chronic health condition or you want to future proof your health, nutritional therapy can be transformative.
So take the first step to prioritise your wellbeing and book a free 20-minute clarity call with me to see how nutritional therapy could help you achieve your health goals.
What can you expect when working with Holly?
We will always work at a pace that is achievable and sustainable for you. If something doesn’t work, we will adapt it so that it does. Every step of the way, I’ll explain in simple terms what is happening in your body and why your recommended changes will help you feel more like your old self again. I will dispel some popular dietary myths and cut through the diet chaos we are bombarded with from multiple sources.
My aim is to empower you with the tools you need to manage your health. By focusing on your specific goals, we will implement simple strategies that fit into your life and will positively impact your physical and mental wellbeing.
Prior to your initial consultation, you will be asked to complete a comprehensive health and lifestyle questionnaire and a seven-day food, sleep, and mood journal. During your initial consultation, we will discuss every symptom and body system, examine your health history, family medical history, activity levels, sleep, environment, stress, and food choices, and try to identify the underlying root cause and potential triggers.
I take a food-first approach, but targeted supplementation can be incredibly beneficial. When recommended, these will be carefully considered in relation to any medications you may be taking. In addition, I may liaise with your GP to request relevant blood tests or recommend functional tests that will help us get to the root cause of your concern. Any test will be interpreted by me as part of our work together under the 12 week programme.

What is functional testing?
Functional tests are used to assess and understand a person’s overall health and underlying physiological imbalances. They examine a wide range of biomarkers, such as hormones, gut microbiota, nutrient levels, and genetic markers. They can be incredibly informative and help to identify root causes allowing for targeted interventions that address any underlying imbalances. Not everyone needs to invest in functional testing and even if recommended you are under no obligation to go ahead.
