Counselling, Coaching, Hypnotherapy

Emotional wellbeing is as important for your health as the often more emphasised physical elements.  We often refer to this part of the team to give you tools to deal more effectively with aspects of the mind.

Poor health can affect our mental state and our mental state can affect our health. We often overlook this fact and focus on treating our symptoms, not always taking time to consider the underlying causes.

We all feel down from time to time; we all feel stressed and overwhelmed by life's challenges.  However, we do not always feel our 'needs' warrant a trip to a doctor. Yet prevention is better than cure and dealing with our concerns before they impact too severely on our everyday life means that we may be able to avoid more serious ill-health in the future.

The team at Southcote Proactive Healthcare are very aware of the need for a balance between mind and the body and would like to introduce you to their Mind Matters team:

Gus Ibarra:

I am a qualified Hypnotherapist, Psychotherapist and Reiki Master. All through life I have had the call to help and assist other people in any way possible.

I have worked in the hospitality industry for around 30 years, have met thousands of individuals all around the world, I have come to appreciate that regardless of your origins or social status, the fact remains that we are all human and the same fears, doubts, anxieties or defeating behaviours can affect our wellbeing and our functioning in life.

As a practitioner, my aim is to collaborate with the client by using the tools most effective to achieve their therapeutic goal. I believe that the same way we maintain a routine of physical hygiene and we do exercise to look after our body, read books and study to feed our knowledge, we should also be able or at least try to develop a routine in the practice of peace of mind.

Our minds harmony and wellbeing should be a priority for us all.

My training is integrative, so I can apply many disciplines to my work. I believe that each individual’s brain is a unique universe in itself, complexed and fascinating. Capable of achieving the impossible, amazing and great things.

When I came across Reiki it was just that light bulb moment.

I am passionate about being able to help people achieve their best level of wellbeing. Initiated as a master practitioner in the art of Reiki, I am able to use the techniques developed by Dr Mikao Usui in the 1920’s from their roots over 2000 years ago. This practice uses the body to channel energy through the hands.

I can also be contacted directly through my website; www.pharustherapy.com
