Is life a game?
From the moment we are born to the moment we die is a game, a game we are going to lose. But by losing we are also winning (gaining), and there is where the game is either fun or not. It all depends on the perspective and the way we play it.
As soon as we are born, we begin to die... Some do it earlier than others, but the fact remain that dying is the only thing that is guaranteed to happen. Even before we start the game we are guaranteed we are going to lose. However by understanding and accepting that truth we may be able to understand that the game could be very short but also very enjoyable. The amount of time is irrelevant, the quality we create around it will give it value or not.
Some of us enter the playing field equipped with the right tools, mentally, physically, emotionally and with an ability to connect (spiritually) with everything around us (as part of the game).
I don’t really know what the aim of the game is, but whilst we are here playing it we might as well have fun.
Fun, a bit of a subjective word, a bit like happiness. What make one person happy could be the meaning of worse nightmare for another. As unique as we are as human beings, so is our participation in the game of life. There has never been another human being like you or I on this earth, there isn’t another one and there will not be another human like you or I on this earth.
Even this makes the game more interesting. As any action or play we take will be stamped on the collective field or board of the game (quantum field) it will somehow have an effect on the collective conscience (Dr David R. Hawkings MD, PhD).
The reason I am writing this is because I have just learned about the passing of a colleague, as of now unknown reasons. This got me reflecting on life as such, the purpose of it, the meaning of it, my role in it and what is it that I can do to make sure I enjoy the time while I am here.
I think it all boils down to attitude. We are dealt some cards in this game, some have terrible ones, others have really good ones (apparently) yet again the ones with the really bad cards could be having a much better game.
A person with a lot of money could actually be feeling very poor, a person with very little money or none at all, could be feeling on top of the world. How many times have we come across some really good looking people who believe that they are not, have very little self esteem and low self worth and appreciation?
Same according to societies beliefs don’t conform within the concepts of good looking people, but they are the most comfortable, most confident, and wouldn’t like to be any different. This is why I believe attitude is so important in this game. The way we think makes us feel a certain way and therefore behave a certain way about the cards we have been dealt in this game.
Remember I said we are playing this game to lose?
We will lose relationships, life itself will not last forever, material possessions will be lost, depending on how we view and experience the game we will be losing a lot or simply enjoying the borrowed things, people, moments, jobs, life itself. All is borrowed, we are simply guardians of all that exist in our life.
Our attitude dictates our enjoyment of that we have to guard for a passing moment.
