Slow and Steady will win the race!

I feel extremely privileged to be doing the job that I have chosen, or perhaps where circumstances bought me.

Every day I meet with people wanting to make small and gradual changes for a better way of life. With me it is never going to be a quick fix, I am like the tortoise – slow and steady will win the race!

A high percentage of my clients want to strengthen their core in a bid to improve issues with their back. Just 15-20mins a day of specifically prescribed exercises makes a big difference to daily life, maybe not completely pain-free but certainly a step further than at the start.

When signing up for Just Joggers, the aim of the course is to get from 0-5k in 6 weeks but as long as the group are running further and for longer on the last week than they did at the start then progress has been made.

In an industry where promises and guarantees are made of amazing results, I prefer to be a bit more realistic and manage expectations, anything on top of this is then a bonus!

These two quotes are among my favourites and are so true for the expectations I have of my clients:

It doesn’t matter how slow you go, so long as you don’t stop – Confucius

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step – Lao Tzu

Have a great week.

Emma
