This class is great for relaxation and pain relief.
It takes you out of that fight and flight mode that we are often in due to stress, anxiety and rushing around. Being in this mode regularly can cause all sorts of health issues mental and physical.
All poses are supported and held for 3-5 plus minutes giving the body and mind time to release. It taps into the parasympathetic nervous system that helps you rest, digest and heal your body.
«When the breath moves the body, in a continuous dialogue with the ground and gravity» - that might be yoga.
This hour is fully dedicated to our breath, ground and body. It is all about arriving: arriving in time and space and being from moment to moment with nowhere to go and nothing to do.
With calming asanas, breathing techniques, stretches and imagination exercises are we working towards and a state of deeper relaxation and the undoing of unnecessary tension.
